Andras Nagy was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. His upbringing was fairly normal - a classical European education and Protestant upbringing, but his maternal grandmother was a Catholic closet mystic. He could not understand much of her wisdom when he was with her, but she lived to be 99 years old. He now understands her gentle guidance at a ripe age. All in all, the Christian doctrine never made much sense despite his thirst for knowledge and God. Andras came to the USA at age 21 with nothing but the clothes on his back. His sponsor was a protestant minister who was a big-time capitalist all the same. American style religion never suited him. He seldom attended church. He tried Unitarian Universalism, as it was the closest organized religion he could stomach. He still loves those Unitarians. |
